“We need a trusted, ethical, and democratic AI.” On July 17, Alexis Prokopiev, Director of Governance & Democratic Innovation Team at Make.org, and Vice-President of the Association Civic Tech Europe (ACTE) intervened at the public hearing on Generative AI and democracy of the Special committee on the European Democracy Shield in the European Parliament in Brussels.

The event was hosted by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and took place under patronage of the Polish Presidency to the Council of the European Union. More than a hundred participants joined the event both in Brussels as well as online.
